Rigid Bus Ampacity Calculator

The Rigid Bus Ampacity Calculator (RBAC) uses IEEE Std 605 steady-state thermal analysis for a unit length of rigid bus conductor. It applies correlations for convective heat transfer, radiation heat transfer, and solar heat gain coefficients on various bus configurations of different geometric shapes to improve ampacity accuracy. RBAC offers natural and forced convection correlations for rectangular, universal angle, and round tubular bus conductors.
